.time.

Time...
It just seems like we don't have enough of it right? Well, I thought so myself, until I took this Stress Management class this semester that told me otherwise. If I feel like I don't have enough time, its because I don't effectively spend the 24 hours I'm given.

Its been a while since I blogged hasn't it? well nursing school got a little too crazy this past two semesters and mom still doesn't know how to make a post, I doubt she even knows how to even Look at the blog. Anyway, just a few quick updates from since that last time I blogged...

I went on a fun little trip with my two good friends, Whitney and Jesika, to San Diego with the M.U.S.S bus (mighty utah student section) to watch the University of Utah play San Diego. I absolutely LOVED the trip. Even though it was just a 3 day trip, I'd say it is one of my top 3 favorite vacations ever. That might also have to do with the fact it was only $100 for the ride down/back, hotel stay for the weekend and dinner and a ticket to the football game. The game itself was WELL worth the $100, so I got a screamin deal.

While Nursing school has been kicking my butt, I have absolutely loved it! In a month I'll be done with my first year, can you believe it?! It's gone by so fast! Jamileh has been having fun living down in Provo with our wonderful cousin Talysha. She's just recently decided to move back home for the summer, which she isn't very happy about. Lucky for me though, 'cause I'm sure gonna need her this summer. Mom's still doin her preschool thing. Man, I respect her a lot for being able to do that all day long. We just got her cute little flyers done for next year though.

So Alex decided this year to put his soccer skills to good use and start playing football this year!! Woot woot! I am SO excited for us! I mean him. I guess I'm excited for him and us =] It's been really weird to watch him grow up so much this last year. He has even had girls over recentlym, and that's just plain weird for me. At least he followed my advice and found some cute girls to bring over. He's going to be 16 in two weeks, can you believe it? I've decided to be an awesome sister and throw him a surprise birthday party. I even made a cute online invitation for facebook.

Let's See..What else to blog about? Oh right, I think I skipped a couple holiday's. Thanksgiving and Christmas came and went in a blink of an eye. Thanksgiving was a little different last year because we were missing a few of the wonderful Kay clan.

Christmas also found it's way into our crazy lives...but I am unable to locate the pictures right now.
Goodness could this post get any longer? Well, I was going to post it into a few different ones, but I figured one giant catch up post would be alright for now.

Over the past few months I've also managed to catch me a wonderful guy. His name is Kyal, he's 22, I met him in my singles ward, he is absolutely wonderful. He is amazing and treats me like a queen, I definitely got lucky with this one. The best part is that my whole family (even those crazy redneck cousins I have) love him. I guess I kinda like him too... ;) I love you babe!
fyi please just ignore me in these photos. I need to take some new ones asap.

Kyal is actually getting ready to go on a mission. We've been getting all of his paperwork and interiews done these past couple of months and it's finally come down to the countdown. He'll be getting his call next wednesday so I'll keep you all updated when we find out. I'm really excited for him to go, I know he's going to be a fantastic missionary.

We took mom out for her birthday this year to a new little Mexican place just down by Costco. Here is the conversation I had with our waiter:

Waiter: Hello ladies, do you have any questions?
Me: Yes, I do. I was wondering since we are celebrating my mom's birthday today, does she get to wear one of those crazy big hats? (I was thinking more like a Sombrero)
Waiter: Ya of course! I'll bring that right out.
Me: Perfect, thank you kind sir.

This was the outcome of the conversation...

I guess this bad economy has really hit hard in the Sombrero Department. Either that or our Mexican dude has an obsession with Princess Leia and Elephants.
Alex ended up putting good use to the birthday hat and went longboarding in his D.I. outfit.

I guess I didn't have much to say about Dad and Kameron this time. Kameron's Futsal team actually just won the championship! Again, I need to find the pictures for that. And dad...well dad is doing just fantastic. He's working hard every day to keep all of us little munchkins happy. He's the perfect guy to be our dad. And I know how much he loves to have pictures of himself so I'll just post a few for him and Kameron.

I'm sure I'll be thinkin of more things I could post about so keep your eye out for some more updates!

.crazy.

So I've come to realize how hard it is to keep up a blog! I keep forgetting to update our lives!
This new school year has definitely thrown us for a loop. We've been overwhelmed with the changes we've all been going through. Mom started teaching preschool again, Dad has been working on translations for the Church, I started nursing school, Jam moved out and started life as a college student, Alex is trying to get used to the world of High School and Kameron is FINALLY in Junior high.

Pictures are worth a thousand words right? Well these next few pictures describe our crazy life perfectly..

We are normal sometimes....I promise!

A couple of weeks ago, Jamileh got a taste of how it feels to be a TRUE college student...Vandalism.
She went on a date with a friend who has a friend that is going to the MTC. For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to use chalk and write a message to this missionary. Next thing they knew, the security gaurds caught them and they had to pay the price and scrub off the message. Talysha was a part of this vandalism, but she was the only Pure Spirit one who didn't run when the security gaurds came.

Guilty Felons

Last Friday night I went to my first Masquerade Ball. It was so much fun! My friends that I met on my cruise host a ball every year, and I was lucky enough to be an attendee this year. I had my friends Britney and Jesika come play dress up with me.

Last Family Vacation

[Warning-This post will probably be extremely long! I'll try to make it interesting]
Mom is absolutely convinced that after this fall semester, someone in our family will be married. Seems how I'm single and loving it (or maybe just too involved with Nursing school to date) I am assuming she thinks it'll be Jamileh getting married. Anyway, so mom insisted we took our 'Last Family Vacation' as just our family. We packed our bags and stuffed our car and headed to California.
Day #1/2
We first stayed a night in St. George then early the next day took a little detour and stopped at the damn Hoover, or wait I mean Hoover Dam =D Mom just loves to see the wonders of the world, so this was the part of the vacation that was just for her. To be honest, I think we were all more impressed with the bridge they were building rather than the dam.

I started a game for the vacation "your team, my team". Basically you spot out people and either call them to be on your team or other people's team. You want you're team to be the best of course. My dad's team ended up being mostly people that looked like they were foreign. Most of them were just his look-a-like.
Mom's team was the people that looked like tourists with hats. We were lucky enough to capture a picture with her AND one of her teammates.
Jam's team were mostly the crazy looking people that you'd find at walmart at 3 in the morning.
Alex's team were the ladies with saggy boobs and no bra. I could only find a cartoon to depict this, otherwise google would bring up porno pictures of old ladies that I'd prefer not to see. Sadly, somewhere during the game, mom and I were put on Alex's team.
Kameron's team were the people that will be contestants on the Biggest Loser. We got a picture of his team too at the Hoover Dam.
And my team of course are the big, muscular guys that are too sexy for their own good.
We had quite a bit of fun playing the game together, I think it brought us all closer. Also, when we were walking around calling out 'your team or my team' my dad couldn't seem to understand to keep it just between us. We'd be walking right by someone and he'll look at them and pretty much yell in their ear "ALEX's TEAM!" I apologized and said 'sorry he doesn't speak English' haha I was hoping that no one else would know what game we were playing but I'm pretty sure it's a well known game.
Day #3
Beach. All day long we Beached. We stayed at New Port beach pretty much all day long. Alex and Kameron decided to build themselves a little spa along the water to watch the girls pass by. We also bought the famous frisby to play with along the shore.
.

Day #4
We headed out to Knotts Berry Farm. We've never been there before so it was a nice little change to our Cali adventure. We weren't able to get any pictures for this day.
Day #5
We lived like stars up in Hollywood this day. For some reason out of all of the Walk of Stars, Jamileh decided to get a picture with the Elton John star.

Its hard to see it but you can see the Hollywood sign behind us
We came back to the car one night to find dad in this position. Not sure what we're seeing...
Day#6
We decided to beach again before we had to drive to Arizona. The boys went at it again to build the modernized verson of sandcastles.

Day#7
So we didn't get to our AZ hotel until 2 in the morning the night before so we didn't exactly see what we got ourselves into. We were all too tired to pay attention .All we knew was mom told us our room was a Deluxe Suite with three beds, big screen tv (with satellite) and wifi. Sounded pretty nice on paper. When we woke up in the morning this is what we saw.

Kameron didn't fit on the bed with Alex so he made up his own
After we decided that mom would NEVER pick out our hotel again, we took a little stroll through town. The little town was called Seligman on route 66, and between this little town and Williams AZ, the Pixar movie Cars was based after. Pretty cool dontcha think? We ate breakfast at this amazing cabin style restaurant, Alex declared it the best breakfast he's ever had!

After the history lessons in Williams, AZ we drove up to the Grand Canyon. Mom wanted us to experience it all together. At first, the kids weren't so excited about it but when we got there, it was pretty cool. All us kids went to the edge, sat down and took it all in. Behind us, mom and dad were freaking out telling us to get away from the edge. Haha we all felt like we were 3 year olds again. Everyone around us just stared at my parents and how scared they were.
Mom and dad wouldn't even come close to the edge for pictures so we had to go to a walled off area in order to get a family picture done.
Well, that was our awesome vacation. We really did have a lot of fun, all of us bonded and got along the whole time (except for when mom and dad argued about directions). And hopefully this won't be our real "Last Family Vacation".

For some reason the formatting is a little wierd on this post. Sorry!
